GEOENERGY EXPO 2010 is the new fair entirely dedicated to the plants, technologies, machinery, equipment and services for the industry of clean energy from subsoil and to heating pumps.
First, second and third generation (EGS - Enhanced Geothermal Systems) geothermal energy represents a promising industry that, together with other renewable sources, can provide the energy needed to satisfy world electricity, heating and air-conditioning demand, without emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Investments in renewable energies have increased four-fold in the past four years, and, in 2008, for the first time, they totalled more that those for traditional sources. The information comes from the most recent report published by the Unep (United Nations Environment Program). Investments in geothermal energy, in particular, have increased by 149%.
GEOENERGY EXPO 2010, other than having on show the most recent innovations, also includes a rich conference programme aimed at identifying the state of the sector and of the market, with the participation of Universities, research institutes, associations and industries.
GEOENERGY EXPO 2010 will be part of ZEROEMISSION ROME, the important event dedicated to renewable energies for the Mediterranean area, which, in 2009 closed its doors with record figures: 25,400 visitors (there were 18,000 in 2008), 400 exhibitors (300 in 2008), an exhibition area of 30,000 square metres, (+30% compared to the previous edition), 56 conference sessions, with 377 speakers.
From 8 to 10 September, therefore, GEOENERGY EXPO 2010 will take place alongside: PV ROME MEDITERRANEAN 2010 (photovoltaic technologies), CSP EXPO 2010 (concentrating solar power), CO2 EXPO 2010 (the carbon credit market), CCS EXPO 2010 (CO2 capture and storage), ECO HOUSE (energy saving).
GEOENERGY EXPO 2010 COMPENSATES FOR ITS GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS BY SUPPORTING RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS IN ITALY AND THE WORLD
