8 - 10 September 2010
CO2 EXPO e CCS EXPO will be back in Rome from 8 to 10 September 2010, once more as part of ZEROEMISSION ROME 2010, the important event dedicated to renewable energies in the Mediterranean area, which, in 2009, closed its doors with record figures: 25,400 visitors (compared to 18,000 in 2008), 400 exhibitors (300 in 2008), an exhibition area of 30,000 square metres, (+30% compared to the previous edition), 56 conference sessions, with 377 speakers.
CO2 EXPO, the international fair on climate changes, CO2 reduction and the carbon credit market, is know confirmed as a qualified and not to miss appointment for the most important operators of the Kyoto Protocol, the EU Emission Trading Scheme and forestation and reforestation.
CCS EXPO is the fair for the Mediterranean area entirely dedicated to Carbon Capture and Storage, set up in 2009 with the aim of taking stock of the technologies for the capture and storage of carbon dioxide, now well tried and tested. This is a possibility that is also being considered by companies. In Italy, for example, there are at least 300 suitable sites to collect the carbon dioxide produced by the important industrial plants and thermo-electrical plants, and capture it in such a way that it cannot be freed into the atmosphere again.
CO2 EXPO 2010 and CCS EXPO 2010 will also include a series of conferences, workshops and round tables with the most authoritative representatives of the worlds of industry, research and institutions.
From 8 to 10 September, therefore, CO2 EXPO 2010 e CCS EXPO will take place alongside: PV ROME MEDITERRANEAN 2010 (photovoltaic technologies), CSP EXPO 2010 (concentrating solar power), GEOENERGY EXPO 2010 (geothermal energy), ECO HOUSE (energy saving).
