Zeroemission Rome shines its spotlights once again onsustainable transport and mobility
Thanks to the important success of the 2011 edition of ELECTRIC CARS, dedicated to sustainable transport and mobility, the fair will take place once again at Zeroemission Rome from 5 to 7 September 2012.
In this upcoming edition, the area will be dedicated to electric cars, charging stations, and will also have photovoltaic shelters on show.
The 2011 edition received highly positive feedback also thanks to the possibility of test drives with Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-Zero. This will also be possible this year too, with new and interesting vehicles representing the future of transport. In 2011, the Belumbury (Dany) and Tazzari (Zero) electric vehicles were also on show, along with charging stations from Enel and Schneider Electric, Sig Solar and Segway electric scooters, the new, way of moving on two wheels, also with a model for handicapped people. The event was made even more interesting thanks to the SEM-Solar Energy Mobility Project, set up by Green Utility, and the conference on sustainable transport and mobility.
“Peugeot chose to attend the Rome event to present and to the public and enable the same public to try out Peugeot iOn, a 100% electric vehicle, which has been available on the market since the end of 2010,” said Carlo Leoni, head of International Relations at Peugeot. “With iOn, Peugeot is integrating its range with a zero emissions solution for urban transport suitable for private citizens, professionals, and authorities.” “Our participation in Electric Cars has enabled us to highlight all the features of the Citroën C-Zero,” said Marco Freschi, Head of the press office and public relations at Citroën Italia. “C-Zero has been created to facilitate urban and sub-urban transport: small dimensions, exceptional performance and sufficient autonomy for all daily routes, in silence, that makes you forget the noise of the city. It is also the ideal car for those who are looking for great economy of use, with a cost of about EUR 1.5 per 100 kilometres.”
